Blogger’s Bio

I believe that multiple personalities and the diagnosis of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) is generated by psychotherapeutic interventions that rely on speculation and anecdotal evidence rather than scientifically-based evidence. It is well documented in the scientific literature that DID therapies often create some false memories of heinous sex crimes against children by encouraging adult-patients to recall abuse events that may, or may not, have occurred. In many cases, DID therapy has permanently harmed patients and fractured relationships within family units. The fact that DID can kill is evidenced by court proceedings that charged therapists and medical doctors of psychiatry with malpractice and patient neglect. Several of my friends died during treatment for dissociative disorders and/or multiple personalities.

Most professionals who work in the field of mental-health care are undoubtedly caring people who offer helpful services for clients. There are also practitioners and psychotherapies that disregard facts and evidence; these shortcomings have caused permanent injury and sometimes death to patients in their care.

Although I was not abused during childhood, I was treated for over six years in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA for Dissociative Identity Disorder (multiple personalities) stemming from theories associated with repressed memories. My attending psychiatrist held a medical degree (Medical Doctor , M.D.) and was considered an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of multiple personalities, renamed Dissociative Identity Disorder, . He was a founding member of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISST-D) at the time I was treated.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and have never chosen to offer psychotherapy.
